Where it began
Our Story

The Premiere Brand Meats Story began in the mid-1970s when Roger Lawson found his calling working in a local meat department. In 1990, after several years of management, he decided to pursue his passion. Roger and his wife Laura started their family-run meat market and delicatessen in McKinleyville, California. They took great pride in knowing their customers, providing excellent service, and hand-crafting the best quality and largest selection of deli products available in Humboldt County.

In response to their growing demand, they relocated to a state-of-the-art facility in Shasta Lake in 2004. The relocation enabled them to expand production and better serve their growing customer base. With steady growth over the years, Premiere Brand Meats holds fast to the tradition of making quality products and gold-standard service a priority. A commitment to these principles remains the driving force of the family business.
